About us
Pumpkin Patch aims be the leading provider of quality childcare in the local area. Through the use of resources of a high standard and with highly qualified and motivated staff we strive to achieve our aims. Children are valued as individuals and are encouraged to learn through play and exploration in a stimulating environment ably supported by their adults.
All managers, deputy managers and all room leaders are qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or above and all other practitioners are either qualified or working towards their qualification. Staff are chosen not only for their qualifications but for their understanding of how children learn and their genuine love of caring for young children.
Pumpkin Patch operates a key carer system which enables parents to develop strong relationships with a specific carer for their child. Their key carer is responsible for any nappy changes, daily observations and completion of day sheets and regular feedback in the form of development records and at our regular parent evenings.
At our nurseries our cooks offer home-cooked meals to provide a balanced and nutritious diet. Children are encouraged to self serve with child sized utensils and dishes and staff sit and chat about the food they are eating or about their day
