Farnborough nursery

Aims

Our aim is to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment for children in our care. We aim to encourage every child to achieve their full potential and to develop their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. We aim to provide good quality childcare using only resources of a high standard and fully qualified staff.

Philosophy

We believe that children learn best when they experience things first hand, through carefully planned activities children will have opportunities to learn through self-exploration. Play is an important part of early years development and forms an essential part of our planning.

Organisation

Pumpkin Patch - Farnborough is a day nursery registered for 36 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years. The nursery offers full and sessional day care. The nursery is in an established house, which has been carefully adapted to meet the needs of the children. It has been divided into a two-room baby unit (for 6 weeks – 15months) and a room for older toddlers (15 months to 2 years), and separate rooms for 2-3 years and 3-5 years.

There is regular opportunity for mixing between age groups and for all the children to integrate with one another. The nursery layout is designed to be practical and homely whilst promoting children’s independence through continuous provision.

Operating hours

Pumpkin Patch Farnborough is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. It is open for 51 weeks a year, closing for Bank Holidays. The nursery has two closures a year in order for all staff to complete in house training.
