Our aim is to provide
a happy, secure and stimulating environment for children in our
care. We aim to encourage every child to achieve their full potential
and to develop their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. We aim
to provide good quality childcare using only resources of a high standard
and fully qualified staff.
We believe that children learn best when
they experience things first hand, through carefully planned activities
children will have opportunities to learn through self-exploration.
Play is an important part of early years development and forms
an essential part of our planning.
Pumpkin Patch Day Nurseries are registered for 29 and 36 children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. The nursery offers full and sessional day care for 3 or more sessions per week. The nursery is in an established house, which has been carefully adapted to meet the needs of the children.
There is regular opportunity for mixing between age groups and
for all the children to integrate with one another.
Pumpkin Patch
is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. It is open for
51 weeks a year, closing only for Bank Holidays and for approximately
1 week between Christmas and New Year.
Breakfast, lunch and afternoon
snack are provided daily and are included in the fees. We provide
drinks throughout the day. All our food is carefully prepared
on the premises by our own cook. The food provided ensures a balanced
and nutritious diet. Vegetarians and most dietary requirements
are catered for. A copy of weekly meal plans will be given to
parents on entry to the nursery and also made available on display
in the nursery. We do ask that milk is provided for babies.
